Things to Do

In East Hill’s southeastern corner, Bayview Park spans 40 acres with a huge variety of recreational amenities, which includes picnic areas, grills, playground equipment, swings, tennis courts, and a fitness court. There’s also a boat launch with kayak rentals for use on Bayou Texar and Pensacola Bay. One of the most popular features of Bayview Park is a Dog Park that has Pensacola’s only dog beach. In October, Pensacola Dragon Boat Festival sees teams of 20 synchronized paddlers and drummers race across Bayou Texar in colorful Chinese dragon boats. There are lots of fun activities surrounding the race, including games, sack races, and face painting for kids. The Graffiti Bridge is a unique Pensacola landmark. This 1880s railway bridge has been a beacon for graffiti artists of all kinds for decades.
